Cricut Class with Janis Purves - Design Space - Intermediate

INTERMEDIATE CRICUT DESIGN SPACE

All Classes are $25 each and will last approximately 2 hours.  For an additional $5, bring your Cricut and stay for another 30 - 45 minutes and play! I can help, if you need it, cut some things!

The class will be  held at SO scrappy Scrapbooking Store located at 1839 E Independence St, Springfield, Missouri.  Minimum of 2 and Maximum of 6 students per class.  

INTERMEDIATE CLASS - This class is for the Design Space user who is ready to put that basic information you have learned to the test!  We will explore recent changes to what you already know as well as learn more about Layers and Print then Cut AND other features, i.e, Working offline, Auto Mirror, Print then Cut and DTF (Direct to Film).

What you need to know – You need to have a working knowledge of the Canvas and the tools. You also need to have downloaded the latest version of Design Space to your laptop.

***Design Space does work on a Mac or iPad. It is basically the same for both Mac/i-Pad and a laptop. Some functions are in different places and navigation can be different as well. Since I’m not familiar with the keyboard or commands, I am limited to how much I can help you, however, you are certainly welcome to attend class as you will still be able to learn what Design Space can do!

What you need to bring – Your laptop, with the latest version of  Design Space loaded.  You can check that by opening Design Space and clicking on your name, then settings. Under General and near the bottom, you will see About Design Space. Click on “Check for Updates”.  If it tells you there is a newer version, go ahead and download that and you should be good to go for class!

What you will learn – 

• The Canvas – Quick review of changes

• Working with basic shapes using the layers menu as well as options at the bottom of that menu.

• Working with Images from Design Space (we will review changes made to searching.

• Text.  So much can be done in TEXT.  I will take requests at class!

• Offline feature

• Auto Mirror

• Print then Cut

• DTF

• I want to touch on a brand new feature…Create AI Tab.  It is amazing!

• Hopefully, we will get through all of that in less than 2 hours. I don’t want to rush you and I do want to allow for questions. If we have some time, we can play with actually cutting if you choose to stay a bit longer and cut from the Cricut. We won’t be able to play with Print then Cut as it requires a printer.
